HOW DO I JOIN?
In an ideal world, we would love to help everyone; however, due to time constraints we only provide personal training to individuals who display a high level of commitment. It would be selfish on our part to accept everyone. Therefore, we have implemented a stern application process.
There are many reasons Underground Functional Fitness’ personal training programs are different. Our programs are for individuals who are serious about getting in the best shape of their lives. All candidates must go through the application process in order to be accepted into the program. We take YOUR results seriously. Our clients are the billboards for our business as your results are a direct reflection of our programs. We want the best for both of us and therefore we screen all potential clients to establish maximum accountability.
We owe you one thing: the TRUTH. You may not want to hear it…we are going to give it to you anyway. Anything less would be unacceptable. We are doing YOU a favor by screening our potential clients. If you still make excuses for getting in the best shape of your life, our program is not for you. Save your time and money until you are committed to doing everything in your power to get the body you want.

Personal Training Application Process
- Fill out the Personal Training Application completely. Return the form to us via:

Menasha, WI 54952 - Try-Out: Upon review of your application and assuming that both parties agree to proceed, you will be called to set up a time for a Try-Out with one of the Underground Coaches. Or, request a Try-Out time to fit your schedule.
- You will complete the Client Health History at that time. Please be prepared with your medical history and a list of current medications in hand. An Informed Consent Waiver will be signed at this time.
- The Try-Out includes posture, functional, and performance assessments.
- Attitude and commitment level will also be evaluated and are the most critical factors used to determine acceptance.
Note: Physical fitness is NOT a determining factor of acceptance. It is our job to get you to your desired physical fitness level.
- Follow-Up: Coach Brown will review the results of your Try-Out with you and discuss your personal health and fitness goals. Upon acceptance, personalized training options will be proposed to you. You will also sign an agreement at this time.
Large Group Class Application Process
Underground Functional Fitness’ “bootcamp” style fitness program is an invite-only membership. We use a 1-week tryout to assess if our program is the right long-term fit for each trial candidate. If you are in fact invited to join our exclusive program, you will have the ability to choose from several membership options based on your current schedule and budget.
Tryouts are only offered within the first week of each session of bootcamp out of fairness to current members. All trial members must complete and submit an initial large group registration prior to the initial large group orientation, offered the first Saturday of each month.
All interested trial members must attend a mandatory initial large grouporientation. This orientation is meant to assess the current fitness level of each new trial member and answer any questions or concerns prior to the first workout of the new session of the large group session.
